ICS offers a number of sports. In the fall ICS athletes compete in soccer and cross country. In the winter basketball and cheering are offered, and in the spring students participate in track and field. ICS students are recognized regularly for their individual accomplishments and our teams have earned distinctions such as in 2006, when both the boys and girls varsity teams were awarded the Top Sportsmanship Awards by the Eastern Maine Board of Basketball Officials. In this competition Islesboro came out on top of such larger schools as Hampden, Bangor, Brewer, Belfast, and Rockland.
