Science Night at the Islesboro Community Center. More details to come.
Mapping heirloom apple trees and orchards on Islesboro, and documenting what varieties of heirloom apples exist on the Island. In addition to the maps, products include interviews about seed saving, composting, and interviews with fruit tree experts.
"ABC Book" of maps and places on the Island that represent each letter of the alphabet. In addition to the book, movies of the kindergarten students explaining the significance of the locations and a website about the project were created.
High school students filmed footage of Lego Robot presentations made by grade 5 students, interviewed 5th graders, and created movies about the project.
Divided the state into marine, agricultural, forestry, and technology economic sectors, and for each sector produced maps, a webpage, and videos. Classes involved: Horticulture, Computer class, Graphic Arts, Economics, Kindergarten.
